General Questions

Yes! No matter your group size or app usage, Family Pavilion is completely free to use. Any user can create unlimited private events and send unlimited invitations.

All content uploaded to the event feed is your private data, and we never use your photos or comments without your express permission. See more in our privacy policy here.

You can download the Family Pavilion app on the iOS App Store for free! Simply register an account using your email address and start planning events for you and your loved ones.

Yes! Family Pavilion is available on both iOS (download here) and android devices (download here), so the whole family can join in!

Creating New Events

After download the app and registering for your new free account, simply tap one of the in-app prompts to “Create Your Own Event” and complete the required fields. You’ll need an event name, date, location, and description to save your new event and start adding guests and agenda items.

You can access events you’ve been invited to by other users via the side menu by tapping on the “My Saved Events…” section. From here you can find the event you’re looking for, tap on it, and choose “Select Event” to activate that event within the app and view pertinent details.

In order to preserve memories, events cannot be deleted in the Family Pavilion app. If you’ve made a mistake in event details, you can always edit the event by going to the Event Details screen and tapping “Edit this Event.” If you’d like to prevent users from adding any additional content to the event you can also tap “Close this Event” from the Event Details screen. Closing an event prevents new memory posts and agenda items from being created, notifying all other users of the date when the event was closed.

Adding Guests

As the event host, tap the plus icon in the upper right of the Guest List screen to add new guests. Here you’ll be prompted to approve access to your device’s contacts so Family Pavilion can easily display your invitees below. Tap on the contacts you’d like to invite or select the option above to “Create New Contacts Manually” by adding the name, phone number, and email address of any guests you cannot locate in your device contacts.

Once you send an invite to a potential guest, they’ll receive an email from Family Pavilion asking them to indicate whether they accept or decline the invitation. You can then review their responses within the Guest List to gauge your attendee interest and attendance.

To change your RSVP status, go to the event details screen in the side menu and select the button marked “RSVP Status: Undecided.” From here you can indicate whether you’ll be attending or declining.

Adding Agenda Items

As the event host, tap the plus icon in the upper right of the Agenda screen to add new agenda items. Here you can provide the Agenda item title, date, time, and description to publish your event. You can also fill out location details, phone numbers and agenda item website links to facilitate digital meetings.

Simply tap an existing agenda item to view the item details. As long as you’re the event host, you’ll have the option to edit the agenda item content or delete it entirely by selecting “Delete Agenda Item.”

To change an Agenda item’s start and end time, select the item from the host account. Within the agenda item details screen, you can then select “Edit Details” and alter the preferred time as needed, making sure to select “Save” in the upper right of the screen when your edits are finalized.
